Ceton (MH827v)

Ceton (MH827v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Ceton (perhaps “A Little Bit”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows a frontal view of a flower with three red petals and a white base and stem. Below the flower, where the ground might be, are many little dots. This is something like sand.

Added Analysis:

The flower of the glyph is not especially well represented by the visual elements, and it does not bring forth “Ceton.” The tiny dots below the flower might be more likely to provide that reading.
