Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:
This glyphic element has been carved from the compound sign for the place name, Cozamaloapan. It could be either a cozatli or a cozantli, two apparently different small animals. (See our links to the dictionary terms.) The animal here is painted a terracotta color. He has a black band over his eyes.
