Cuamix (MH628v)

Cuamix (MH628v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Cuamix ("Wild Cat") is attested here as a man's name. It shows the head of a wildcat (mixtli) in profile, looking toward the viewer's right. Along the perimeter of the head (cua-) are notable tufts of hair. There is a term for a wildcat that already incorporates the Cua-, as shown in the links to our dictionary.
