Cuauhxoxoc (MH609r)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Cuauhxoxoc (perhaps "Greening Tree") is attested here as a man's name. It shows a tree (cuahuitl) with branches that have been severed, giving it a barren look. But short lines on the upper right and lower left suggest new growth, and the greening (xoxoc) of the tree.

Added Analysis:

See other examples of a cuauhxoxoc below. One has no obvious suggestion of new growth.
