matlactli (T1871:1)

matlactli (T1871:1)
Notation

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This notation matlactli (ten) was combined with the glyph for matl, a measurement, in the original manuscript. The notation consists of a row of ten ones (small circles), running horizontally. The ones are slightly different colors, but this does not seem intentional.

Added Analysis:

Some notations for ones have dots or smaller concentric circles in the middle of them. This one does not. Sometime notations of ones can be vertical, L-shaped, or horizontal. See the examples, below, for the number five.
