mitl (MH526r)

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the element mitl (arrow) has been extracted from the compound Tzihuacmitl, a personal name. The arrow has fletching at the top, seemingly comprised of an eagle wing feather and a down feather. The shaft is segmented like the cane (carrizo?) from which it is made. The tip is a carved stone point, with notches for attaching it to the shaft.
