This simplex glyph of a mezquite tree (mizquitl) represents the place name Mizquic. It is the second appearance of the glyph on this same folio. The tree has a red and white vertically striped trunk, red roots, red and white thorns on the trunk, a leader and two branches with green foliage and, protruding from the foliage, yellow seed pods.
