tlacaxolotl (MH595r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the animal called a tlacaxoloc (“tapir”) shows a profile view of an animal, presumably a tapir. Its mouth is open, its large tongue protrudes, and its sharp teeth and fangs are very visible. The tapir's head is tipped back, its eye is open, and its coat is textured.
