Tlahua (MH661v)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Tlahua (“He Has Abundance,” attested here as a man’s name) shows the face of a male in profile, looking toward the viewer’s right. Close to his mouth and chin is a cup with what may be steam or foam rising up above the rim.
Stephanie Wood
Perhaps the glyph involves a cup of chocolate, something that could convey abundance and wealth. Octli (pulque) also typically has bubbles or foam coming up from the cup. Alternatively, the substance coming out of the cup could represent food, perhaps suggesting the person will never go hungry.
