Tlahua (MH661v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Tlahua (“He Has Abundance,” attested here as a man’s name) shows the face of a male in profile, looking toward the viewer’s right. Right by his mouth and chin is a cup with what may be steam rising up above the rim.

Added Analysis:

Perhaps the glyph involves a cup of chocolate, something that could convey abundance and wealth. The substance coming out of the cup could also represent food, perhaps suggesting the person will never go hungry.
