This black-line drawing of an an example of iconography represents a European-style key (tlatlapoloni). It is being held upright by a human hand. The three teeth of the key are facing toward the viewer's right. They reside on a bar that is separate from the handle. A loop at the bottom of the handle may have served for hanging the key.
