Tzoniztal (MH618v)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Tzoniztal ("White Haired," attested here as a man's name, shows a broad lock of hair, standing straight up, with a tie around it, near the bottom. The tie brings to mind the tzontli that is 400 (blades of grass, sticks, etc.) that were bundled and paid as tribute. The -itzal part of the name is not shown visually, unless one counts the lack of a colorant for the bundle.
