Xochhua (MH486v)

Xochhua (MH486v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Xochhua (here, attested as a man's name) shows an vertical flower with three petals somewhat fanned. The tripartite sepal of the flower is black. There is nothing obvious that is visual to provide the "-hua" (possessive) syllable at the end of the name, unless perhaps the sepal is being emphasized for this reason.
