Iconography

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing shows a man alongside the flower garlands or necklaces (xochicozcatl) that he has made. The man is wearing clothing that shows European influence (such as sleeves). Many of his works of art are made with flowers that have three obvious petals. Some garlands are long, and some are a more standard necklace length. Also shown are tied bouquets of flowers that were meant to be held in the hand (probably maxochitl).
