Cocoztic (MH518v)
This simplex glyph for the personal name Cocoztic (here, attested as a man's name) is an upright yellow (coztic) flower with a stem and a leaf. The flower breaks into three petals at the top, and two stamens or pistils with small circles (anthers) at the top protrude from the petals. The flower has a bit of shading on the lower left side.
Stephanie Wood
In some flowers, such as this one, the anthers are rather pronounced. The anthers are the flower parts that produce and provide the pollen, which has the reproductive capacity that has been compared in Western cultures to semen.
