Moyotl (MH501r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Moyotl (“Mosquito,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a bird's eye view of the insect. Its wings are seemingly transparent or translucent, its body has one line down the middle and thicker black lines crossing the body horizontally. Two front legs or antennae are visible, and the blood-sucking proboscis is notably curled.
