Matemoloc (MH501v)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Matemoloc (“He Was Reached in the Dark,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a right hand in a frontal view. It is reaching--apparently in the dark--(matemoa) toward the right, but the name also has a passive "lo," and the preterit -c, suggesting the person with this name "was reached."
