This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Papalotl ("Butterfly," attested here as a man's name) shows a butterfly in profile, facing toward the viewer's right. Its head is upright and rear end straight down. It shows two raised legs, two straight antennae, and one curling proboscis. Its wings are divided.
