Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:
This painting, made entirely in black (for a specific reason), of the noun papalotl ("butterfly"), is a double of the compound glyph Tlilpapalotl (see below). The butterfly is facing to the reader's right. Its wings are raised as though in flight. A spiral emerges from its face.
