Glyph or Iconographic Image Description: 

This black-line drawing of the element ixtli (eye) has been taken from the compound personal name glyph Nahualix (see below). The eye here is shown in a frontal view, and it is the classic starry or stellar eye of early times. It is circular, with the top half serving as the eyelid. The lower half has the pupil, iris, and white of the eye, with concentric half-circles.
