Xaxal (MH626v)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Xaxal (perhaps "Sandy Soil") is attested here as a man's name. The glyph seems to show two flags (perhaps panitl) with streamers, joined together with a line. It is unclear how these objects bring to mind sandy soil (xaxalli). The reduplication in the gloss does, at least, seem to be borne out by the images.
