Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This is a black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the occupation of lime kiln operator (“tenextlati,” attested here as a man’s job). The glyph shows a tall oven made of stones or adobe bricks in an alternating pattern. A small, black, arched opening appears at the ground level of the structure. Curling gray smoke arches out and to the left of the top of the oven.
