Cuicuitl (MH852v)

Cuicuitl (MH852v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Cuicui (“He Gathers Dispersed Things,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a human hand in 3/4 view. Three small circles below the hand suggest items the hand is grabbing, which is also supported by the squiggly lines that are mixed with the circles along with the short. The latter suggest movement or action, adding to the visual reduplication.
