Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This is a simplex glyph for a house or building (calli). It is shown in profile facing to the viewer's right. It has a modified T-shape beam construction, which a short beam at the base, pointing to the left. These appear to be wooden, with a terracotta color. It is all right angles, and it has a thin platform upon which the building sits. At the back, in the middle, there is a small horizontal detail suggesting another construction feature.

Added Analysis:

Joaquín Galarza argued that this standard sign for calli was half of a building. But, if we flipped the building over and joined the two pieces together, the beam across the top would not be continuous.
