Huitlalotl (MH855v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Huitlalotl (“Crested Guan”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows simply a feather (ihuitl) at an angle. It apparently is recognizable as a feather from a bird called the crested guan (huitlalotl).
