Icnomachoc (MH615v)

Icnomachoc (MH615v)
Compound Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Icnomachoc (perhaps a "Humble Known Person") is attested here as a man's name. The head of a man looking downward may suggest the humble person (icnotl). He may also be crying tears. The hand (maitl), which is purposely connected to the head with a line, could be a phonetic indicator that the name includes the syllable ma.
