Ocelotl (MH648r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Ocelotl (“Jaguar,” attested here as a man’s name) shows the head of a jaguar in profile, facing toward the viewer’s right. Its mouth is open wide, and it has large teeth and a protruding pink tongue. The jaguar has many dark spots, and its nose curls.
