tlamati (MH554r)
The image for this glyph is shared with the entry for Cuauhtlamati, a personal name. Here, we emphasize the verb, "to know something." The man in this image has wrinkles, suggesting he is an elder, and seemingly also suggesting that he is wise or knowledgeable, so he literally knows things. The communication (sound made visible) between the man and the eagle's head, may suggest a knowledge exchange with a wise bird. The sound chain is something like a series of speech scrolls that seemingly go two ways.
