This compound glyph for the personal name or ethnic/pueblo affiliation, Xochipan ("In the Flowers"), which is attested here as pertaining to a man, shows three vertical flowers (xochitl) contained within the rectangle of an upright banner (panitl). The three flowers are painted yellow. They are all the same, having a tripartite petal arrangement. The flag faces toward the viewer's right.
