This black-line drawing of the simplex personal name Teztic ("Something White") is attested here as a woman's name. The idea of "white" is presented as two blank or uncolored rectangles connected by a line at their bases. The one on the viewer's left is upright, and the one on the right is more of a square.

It is not clear, but the name White might have reflected an observation about skin color when the baby was born. Color names in the Codex Mendoza are often represented as rectangles, ovals, or circles that have that certain color inside. See some examples, below.
