Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Temazcale ("Possessor of a Steambath") is attested here as a man's name. It shows a frontal view of a building (calli) with four steam curls emerging from the front entrance (referring to the temaz- part of the name). The possessor suffix -e is not shown visually. The building may have a thatched roof, and it appears to be unusually wide compared to a house, probably making room for the fire inside.
