Cuauhxilotl (Mdz486v)
This compound personal name for Cuauhxilotl is fully phonographic. The eagle (cuauhtli) and the tender corn cob (xilotl) are there to elicit the name of a tropical tree with edible fruit (cuauhxilotl). The eagle's head is shown in profile. Its beak is open. The corn cob is above the eagle head. Its kernels are visible, even as it has a partial husk on the left side. A small amount of corn silk comes off the top of the ear.
