Manex (MH492v)
This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Manex (“To Point Out,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a frontal view of a hand (maitl) rising from some kind of structure (a display stand?) yet to be identified. The maitl can have a semantic role as part of the verb (manextia), "to point out," "indicate," or "show," but it may also be a phonetic complement, depending upon the meaning of the structure below it.
