Techil (MH902v)
This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Techil (perhaps “Stone-Red”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows a horizontal stone (tetl) that is half black and half white, with a wavy diagonal stripe across the middle. Above the stone is a vertical chile pepper (chilli), probably intended here as a phonetic indicator that the stone is red.
