Teix (MH679r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Teix (perhaps short for “Disrespectful”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows an eye (ixtli). This eye is far from the starry eye of decades earlier; it shows considerable European artistic influences.

Literally, this personal name could mean “in front of people,” but it also seems to have the connotation of confrontation and being disrespectful. See some of the other glyphs, below, that build upon Teix.
