Xochicuicuic (MH605v)
This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Xochicuicuic (“He Gathered Flowers,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a human hand gathering (indicating the verb, cuicui) two flowers (xochitl). Additional, short, vertical black lines may indicate a repeating activity and motion. The result is a visual and textual reduplication.
