mitl (Mdz2r)
This element for mitl) has been carved from the compound sign for the personal name, Xomimitl. It is horizontal, with a yellow cane that is partly painted red, has feather decorations, and bears an arrowhead tip. The arrowhead is either white or light gray.

This element for mitl) (arrow, dart) looks much like the arrows or darts that stand for acatl) (reed, cane), with the exception of the arrowhead at the tip. This one additional sets it off visually, as the examples to the right, below, will attest.
