tamalli (Mdz68r)
This example of iconography is provided here for making comparisons with hieroglyphs that contain "tamal" or "tamalli." We have named this example "tamalli," being the Nahuatl version of the Spanish-language gloss, tamales. The tamales in this example are in a basket. They are white, and they have a curve on the end that suggests they are wrapped or rolled. The small curving line is something like the short (somewhat straighter) line on the cacahuatl, so it is important not to confuse the two. (See below.)
