Nezahual (MH711r)
This black and white painting of the simplex glyph for the personal name, Nezahual (“Ritual Fasting”), is attested here as a man’s name. It shows another man standing in profile, facing toward the viewer’s right. He is wearing a dark suit of clothing. The connection between this visual and the concept of ritual fasting (nezahualli) remains elusive.

The variety of glyphs for Nezahual in this digital collection does not really help settle the issue of interpretation.
