Glyph or Iconographic Image Description: 

This black-line drawing with some red colorant is a simplex glyph for the name Chichimeca Yaotequihua ("Chichimec War Leader," attested here as a man's name) shows a vertical arrow with two barbs on its point, a segmented shaft, and two red fletchings near the lower end. To the right of the arrow is a bow on end with the string on the left. The string appears to be made from a twisted cord. The bow is a simple arc.

The Chichimecs enjoyed a renown among the Nahuas for their ability handling bows and arrows and being effective warriors. The bow and arrow as a diagnostic image for Chichimec heritage.
