This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Quetzalacxoyatl (“Quetzal Feathers [with] Laurel Branches”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows a quetzalli feather fan (bound at the base and with a handle) surrounded by laurel branches (acxoyatl). This may have had a dance/ritual purpose.
