Tecuhxochitl (MH830r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Tecuhxochitl (literally, “Lord-Flower”) is attested here as a man’s name. The glyph shows the diadem of a lord in profile, facing toward the viewer’s right. It has a triangular shape, a red border, and a mesh pattern on the main part. It is tied where the back of a person’s head would be. Below the diadem is a flower with a stem and leaf. The flower is a quincunx shape, with four large petals and a small round center. Each petal has a line down the middle of it.
