Glyph or Iconographic Image Description: 

This simplex glyph for a year (xihuitl) shows a circular mosaic made of turquoise tesserae. It comes from the Codex Osuna, folio 14 verso (or Image 31). Turquoise has the same name as year (xihuitl, again), as does comet, so one always has to consider the context. In this case, the folio is enumerating payments in pesos made in association with one year’s time.
