Glyph or Iconographic Image Description: 

This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Xipal (perhaps "Lips") is attested here as the name of a woman. It is presented entirely phonetically, with the Xi- coming from turquoise (xihuitl) tesserae and the -pal coming from banner (panitl). A turquoise banner would more likely be Xipan, which is also found in this collection. More research into these constructions would be useful.
