Cuauhatlapal (MH687v)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Cuauhtlapalli (“Eagle-Wing”), which is attested here as a man’s name, shows a simple wing (atlapalli) that must pertain to an eagle (cuauhtli). The feathers go off toward the viewer’s right, in a frontal view.
