Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This painted compound Nahuatl hieroglyph represents the place name Nexticpac (perhaps, “Above the Cinders” o “Above the Ashes”). It has two elements. One is a mound of cinders or ashes (nextli). The other is the head of a man, which has the role of showing the placement of the cinders up above (-icpac) him. His presence is not a semantic contribution.
