Tozquihua (MH606v)
Simplex Glyph

Glyph or Iconographic Image Description:

This black-line drawing of the simplex personal name Tozquihua ("Someone With a Voice" or someone named after a famous ruler of Chalco) shows a profile of the head of a man. Around his neck is a ring of feathers, presumably from the yellow-headed parrot (toztli).

Added Analysis:

Perhaps the feathers would be yellow if the artist could have used colorants. The Toz- here seems to have a phonetic role rather than a logographic one, unless it is a reference to the bird's ability to sing.
