Xical (MH501r)
This black-line drawing of the simplex glyph for the personal name Xical (“Cup,” attested here as a man’s name) shows a frontal view of what is likely a ceramic cup (xicalli) with a pedestal. It is left natural, not decorated. Something black, in the shape of a spade as might be seen in a deck of cards, hovers over the cup. But that may be inadvertent.
