Chimaltemoc (MH628v)
This black-line drawing of the compound glyph for the personal name Chimaltemoc (perhaps "War Shield Descended") is attested here as a man's name. It shows a round war shield (chimalli) with a feather fringe at the bottom. The circle has four curving lines--a quatrefoil--inside and attached to the perimeter. Above the shield is one descending (-temoc, from the verb temo, in the preterit) footprint.
